    At Leprino Foods it is important to attract, develop and retain top talent. Our Management Trainee Program seeks out new college graduates with degrees in Food Science, Dairy Science, Dairy Manufacturing, Biochemistry and Engineering. We partner with them to develop the skills needed to become an outstanding leader and team member of our organization.

    During the 12-18 month intensive program, you'll learn the entire operations of a leading global cheese manufacturing company. You will also gain in-depth knowledge of all production jobs from start-up to shutdown, including cleanup. You will develop expertise in production, quality, and safety along with leadership skills in directing shift employees. This is a fast-paced environment that requires constant change and adaptation. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be placed in a leadership role as a Production Supervisor in one of our manufacturing plants across the country.

    The work environment is best characterized by a 7-day per week operation with numerous product changes, varying milk quality, and high process technology. State-of-the-art equipment exists and is consistently being upgraded to advanced state-of-the-art. This is a fast-paced environment that requires constant change and adaptation.

    • Monitoring of the total product flow; shift summary for communication to department manager and other shifts; assist with supervision and training of hourly employees, maintaining non-union status, shift scheduling and analysis of maintenance operating conditions.
    • Major challenges of this position are to assist in supervising shifts and produce a consistent high quality cheese in sufficient quantity to meet company inventory needs; assist in supervising employees in a non-union environment and be able to recognize opportunities to improve/correct cheese quality and cost.
    • Performance can best be measured by progress in knowledge of production processes, demonstrated leadership skills, the quality of cheese/whey produced; cost of production, pounds processed per man hour worked; sanitation of the facility; and employee morale.
    • Learn and support the Plant’s quality program to achieve quality goals stated in the Business Plan.
    • Maintain high productivity and cost effectiveness through proper scheduling of production and processing operations, maintenance, and manpower.
    • Integrate Leprino Quality into all aspects of the Production Management Trainee function as evidenced by demonstrating continuous improvement, teamwork with co-workers, distinguished customer service and striving for excellence.


    • Open to relocation to either Lemoore, CA or Allendale, MI & geographically flexible for future assignments upon completion of the Program
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university
    • Demonstrated leadership experience
