For our Allendale, MI manufacturing facility (non-union) we are seeking a Maintenance Manager to help us achieve the growth needed to continue moving our organization to even larger levels!


We Ask Of You To:

  • Manage the daily activities of the maintenance department to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient continuous plant operation through maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
  • Directs the implementation of expense projects in the Power Department and Plant maintenance
  • Monitors all utility systems to maintain a seven-day operation with minimal downtime
  • Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs
  • Provides technical expertise regarding boilers, refrigeration, hydraulic systems, air compressors, electrical systems, electrical instruments, product freezers, heat and ventilation systems, production equipment, and building and grounds
  • Coordinates with vendors regarding repairs.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the Maintenance Department by implementing programs in training, safety, communications, performance recognition and internal employee development in order to ensure optimum employee productivity.
  • Manage the Plant’s maintenance program to achieve goals stated in the Business Plan, maintaining controllable cost at or below budget in all areas of responsibility.

You Have (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Five years of progressive leadership experience in the management and supervision of building mechanical maintenance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance industry best practices
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, boiler, ammonia refrigeration, heat and ventilation, product freezers, and electrical systems
  • Safety/OSHA knowledge 

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Prior food manufacturing industry experience.
  • Knowledge of state and federal environmental laws and regulations
  • Knowledge and ability to manage continuous improvement processes such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc
