The sanitation operator is responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing and re-assembly of cheese processing equipment. This position reports to the Processing Supervisor. No employees report to this position. The sanitation operator must be able to utilize sanitation standard operating procedures (SOP's) and application guidelines. No prior experience is required; knowledge can be learned on-the-job, such as the assembly and disassembly of processing equipment with the ability to make minor adjustments as necessary. The job holder needs to determine the correct chemical application depending upon varying soil loads and time availability; with the ability to recognize rework, redice, and scrap cheese.
