Overview

The Continuous Improvement Process Supervisor is responsible for partnering with

plant functions to identify and execute performance improvement opportunities with a high level impact on financial performance. This position will assist leadership in deploying tools, technology, policies and processes to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency and customer satisfaction (both internal and external).

 

The Continuous Improvement Supervisor utilizes multiple tools and methodologies to analyze data and processes as a key driver of performance opportunities. The individual also assists leadership in project prioritization, project selection, project reviews, and benefits tracking. In addition the role is responsible for training, coaching, and counseling the local CI team members in best practices and individual

development.

 

  • This position reports to the Roswell  Plant Manager.
  • This position will also interact with other key stakeholders such as Plant Leadership, Technical Services –Process Group, Corp Quality, People Development and Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities

Functional Knowledge

Knowledge and experience working within CI Methodologies in the following areas:

  • Kaizen
  • Standard Work
  • 5s Program
  • Process Mapping
  • Cause Mapping
  • Project Management
  • Problem Solving
  • Ability to analyze an issue to determine if it requires training, development, or involving additional teams to solve because of up/down stream impacts.

 

Training: Listen to what operators are experiencing, ability to review training documentation for gaps, and provide support in updating documentation and training

 Development: Gather business requirements, identifying how/ where process changes would fit, defining options to meet needs, and supporting the new definition/adoption.

 Process Dependencies: Ability to analyze activities between processes to determine gaps in hand-offs. Then work with partners to identify best solution. Experience in balancing key initiatives with limited resources. Understanding priorities and ability to break down complex project items for team to execute.

  • Has formal managerial responsibility for multiple employees
  • Adapts plans and priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges
  • This position is required to demonstrate Leprino Core Values.

 

Role Impact:

  • Impacts the level of service and the department’s ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness objectives
  • Guided by policies, resource requirements, budgets, and the business plan
  • This position supports users (operations) in executing their daily functions. If issues arise in CI Landscape it can have an impact on quality/efficiency of product being produced, so I level of urgency is required.

Critical Attributes and Representative Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of employees and/or project performance
  • Daily monitoring of key performance indicators and project deliverables

  • Has direct impact on P&L
  • Frequent interaction with customers and external partners to determine feasibility of new projects and status of current projects
  • Prioritizes appropriately between conflicting demands

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, or Operations Mgt and a minimum of 2-4 years working with in those areas.
  • Requires 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge: Background with Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, Toyota Production Systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced in defining processes.
  • Knowledgeable in systems.
