The position requires the incumbent to feed and load cheese, fold bags, rework and handpack string cheese and perform general housekeeping duties.
NATURE AND SCOPE
No prior experience is required. Knowledge can be learned on-the-job such as using a hook knife, rework conveyor, etc.
The jobholder needs to identify quality concerns and keep the supervisor/foreman informed. The Line Attendant monitors cheese quality, conveyors, the integrity of the product (to ensure the product isn’t unfrozen or soft), and ensures proper housekeeping in the department.
The incumbent must be able to verbally communicate with his co-workers and promote good teamwork. Must display recognition of quality control problems such as frozen/soft cheese, extraneous, and proper blend considerations. The position requires lifting 50 pound boxes of cheese throughout the day and handpack string cheese into a box and lifting up to 30 pound tubs of cheese into the rework conveyor.
The applicant must be able to adhere to strict safety and quality procedures.

Must be able to meet shift/schedule requirements
Must be willing to work overtime as needed

Experience working in a 24/7 operation (working off shift, weekends, holidays, overtime)
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience with pbysical work (extended standing, climbing, lifting, etc)
Consistent work history
Food manufacturing experience
Experience working around or operating similar equipment
Previous involvement in: Safety, Quality, Wellness, Continuous Improvement, or Community Involvement Teams
