    For our Denver, CO corporate headquarters we are seeking an Associate Microbiologist on our RDQ division to help us achieve the growth needed to continue moving our organization to even larger levels!

     The Associate Microbiologist performs pathogen and other microbiological testing
    on manufactured products, purchased products and environmental samples in a timely and accurate
    manner. In addition, this position supports the Microbiology and GRDQ teams by providing overall lab
    support, acting as a dependable and accurate technical resource, and sharing knowledge and innovative
    ideas to continuously improve the company.

     

    Working Relationships:
    This position reports to the Manager level.
    This position primarily interacts with team members, GRDQ, and manufacturing plants.

    Responsibilities

    We Ask of You To:

    • Perform microbiological testing and provide results accurately, safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all testing results, comments, deviations and control information as well as communicate test results to internal customers.
    • Perform proficiency testing.
    • Perform SOPs to safely and accurately open and close the lab.
    • Prepares media according to manufacturer’s instructions.
    • Verify that instruments and equipment are properly maintained.
    • Participate in housekeeping activities.
    • Provide On‐the‐Job Training (OJT) to lower‐level positions.
    • Demonstrate gained experience and knowledge by providing guidance and technical knowledge to internal and external customers.
    • Troubleshoot non‐compliance testing in conjunction with the Microbiology Manager and assists with corrections.
    • Upon request, drafts SOPs and Work Instructions.

    Qualifications

    You Have (Mandatory Qualifications):

    • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, or related field
    • 0‐2 years of laboratory experience
