    Within our 300-person Allendale manufacturing facility, we are seeking a Quality Manager to help us achieve the growth needed to continue moving our organization to even larger levels!

    Responsibilities

    We Ask of You To:

    • Champion the Plant’s Quality programs, processes, and systems to ensure that the plant performance meets and/or exceeds company-wide expectations.
    • Play an integral role in maintaining superior quality systems throughout the entire plant in collaboration with the production management while assuring plant preparedness for customer and regulatory inspections.
    • Oversee coordination of product testing procedures and ensure accurate, timely and compliant testing standards.
    • Provide direction to Qualiy Supervisors, Forepersons and Technicians. Lead, teach and motivate all plant employees in pursuit of quality excellence and plant safety.
    • Drive problem solving initiatives; utilize root cause analysis and preventative actions with respect to quality related issues.
    • Support and enforce GMP’s, food safety procedures and company policies.
    • Drive core people development processes (hiring and promoting for success, technical/functional training, leadership development, and performance management) within the Quality Execution department.
    • Assure that the plant effectively executes policies, procedures, and systems established by the Corporate Quality Organization in the areas of Quality and Food Safety, customer interface (including approvals, specifications, audits, product evaluation and conformance protocols, and customer complaints and follow up), analytical and performance testing methodologies, and purchase quality control.

    Qualifications

    You Have (Minimum Qualifications):

    • Should possess a technical background in food technology, food science, dairy science, microbiology, or chemistry, with a related undergraduate or graduate degree.
    • A minimum of 8 years of quality and production management experience in the food industry, preferably in dairy, are required, with an intimate knowledge of and passion for quality methods and techniques, including the HACCP concept for food safety, quality assurance standards, food laboratory testing methods and operations, and statistical process control techniques.
    • Needs a strong people orientation, an impactful leadership presence and a teamwork-oriented, “can do” attitude.
    • Needs to have a demonstrated track record of developing people.
    • Proficient computer knowledge, with familiarity or ability to learn SAP or similar integrated manufacturing system.
    • A strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF, quality assurance standards, food laboratory testing methods and operations, and statistical process control techniques.

    • A sense of urgency and drive for continuous improvement, problem solving and root cause analysis. Ability to produce in a results-oriented, fast paced environment.
    • Dairy Industry experience.
    • Knowledge and ability to manage continuous improvement processes such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc
