    General Summary:

    Operator is responsible for accurate mixing and monitoring of GRD systems, application at the dry mixers, product quality, and available product for use.  This position is responsible for the proper operations, monitoring, and accurate mixing of final slurry composition to the dry mixers.



    1. Operator is responsible for ensuring the correct GRD/P2 product codes are being added and at the correct rate according to the cheese lines make plans.
    2. At all times, operate in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures, including following LOTO policies when needed.
    3. Follow all start up and shutdown procedures for GRD/P2 including signing MSS and pre-start up checklists where applicable.
    4. Ensure correct GRD blends are added to dry mixers at the proper application rate in accordance to the cheese line’s make plan.
    5. Communicate with mixer operator and line’s group leader on shutdown and start up times for GRD/P2.
    6. Set up, monitor and perform CIP systems as required.
    7. Perform sampling, can checks, and other quality checks when needed.
    8. Enter all the required data into the MES system.
    9. Document any operational change during production and anything out of the ordinary into MES.
    10. Work with mixer operator on any quality issues that may arise in GRD/P2.
    11. Ensure that all equipment is clean, assembled safely, and ready for production.
    12. Calibrate equipment; set low and full set points. Monitor loss-in-weight and volumetric operation.
    13. Perform Ph testing as required.
    14. Monitoring and adjusting powder ingredient application rate to meet targets.
    15. Duties subject to change depending on departmental needs.
    16. Perform basic trouble shooting procedures when applicable.
    17. Adhere to all Company and regulatory GMPs.
    18. Must successfully complete JTPR and consistently perform work according to SOP.
    19. Other duties as assigned by Department Manager, Supervisor, or Group Leader.


    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    1. Knowledge of sanitary GMPs.
    2. Physical requirements to perform job as defined in the essential job function.
    3. Computer literacy.

    Must read/write and perform mathematic calculations to ensure accurate batching of various recipes.
