Our Processing department takes cheese in its bulk form and processes (shreds, dices, freezes, bags, boxes) it so that it is ready to ship to our customers. The Line Attendant position is the backbone of our Processing department and is responsible for loading cheese onto a moving conveyor, folding bags, processing rework and performing general housekeeping duties.


  • Load ribbon (stacks of cheese) onto a moving conveyor.
  • Inspect blocks of cheese for softness and extraneous.
  • Blend cheese as required.
  • Fold bags into boxes.
  • Monitor quality of boxes before running through the tape machine.
  • Add back cheese through the rework auger.
  • Identify quality concerns.
  • Maintain good housekeeping at all times, including cleaning empty tubs and weighing scrap.
  • Observe proper safety policies and procedures at all times.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Must be able to read and write to understand standard operating procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate well within the department.
  • Must be willing to support a 24/7 operation by being available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 46 lbs. from knee to mid-ches (24" - 39") daily
  • Must be able to climb stairs hourly
