For our Denver corporate headquarters, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Manager manages internal and external customer relationships, including setting product evaluations and hosting customer visits which provide routine evaluation assistance, adjusting schedules to properly address emerging issues, accommodating product transitions from product / process development and product roll-outs, and addressing customer complaints quickly and effectively. This position supports the organization in troubleshooting technical deficiencies, identification of root cause and sustainable corrective and preventive actions. This position ensures that all project and work activities are completed in a timely, accurate and precise fashion. This position presents information to internal and external customers, up to and including senior leadership. This position is expected to be an accurate, reliable technical resource by acting as a subject matter expert in their area of expertise.


We Ask Of You To:

Cheese Quality Assurance

  • Manages department initiatives and operates as a subject matter expert in applicable technologies, policies, programs, systems management, and specification management for all aspects of Cheese Quality Assurance.
  • Assures LFC and customer quality standards and expectations are being met by overseeing product evaluations, customer interfaces, performance testing, and methodology review.
  • Identifies, enters, updates, and verifies manufacturing and customer specifications through the SAP Specification Management System.
  • Provides technical guidance, expertise and leadership to projects within functional scope.

Prevent Problems Before They Happen

  • Prevents Problems Before They Happen through training, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis activities by interacting with employees and customers to accumulate information, analyze the situation, and recommend solutions and improvements to quickly eliminate problems.
  • Encourages and mentors team to maintain detailed and accurate records for data, testing results, comments, deviations, and control information.
  • Supports the Production Division in troubleshooting plant quality deficiencies, working with technical resources (Technical Services, Quality Execution, R&D), and plant management to identify root causes and eliminate recurring quality problems.
  • Investigates audit results and ensures proper corrective actions are identified and implemented.
  • Facilitates training, as needed.

Return on Investment Capital (ROIC) Improvement

  • Aids in the achievement of the department’s financial, safety, retention, employee involvement, and other defined objectives.
  • Enforces and maintains procedures and methodologies to improve efficiencies and quality.
  • Utilizes statistical methods, data analysis, and reporting to assist the manufacturing plants in tightening standard deviations of process controls.


  • Monitors key performance indicators for department such as: quality of customer service, dependability of results, and plant support.
  • Demonstrates cross-functional collaboration with senior/cross-functional team members on project concepts to achieve strategic projects.
  • Manages customer relations and reports on customer status up to and including senior leadership.

You Have (Mandatory Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field
  • At least eight years of food manufacturing, product development and quality assurance experience in the dairy industry
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint); SAP experience preferred

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $95,009.20 and $114,011.04.
