For our Denver corporate headquarters, we are seeking a Cream Sales Analyst. The Cream Sales Analyst coordinates the sales of cream for all company operating facilities.  This includes coordinating the sales process and actively developing and cultivating current and potential customer relations.   Primary responsibilities include coordinating the cream schedule and weekly sales, understanding the dairy fat complex and pricing fundamentals, assisting in annual sales planning, spot load transactions and handling of disposition product, facilitate carrier relationship and freight schedules, and coordinating liquid products between company operating facilities. 

 

We Ask Of You To:

Cream Sales & Scheduling

  • Arranges transportation for cream sales opportunities.
  • Supports Cream Sales Manager on annual and short-term contracting opportunities.
  • Assists with the cream sales budget process based on volume and commodity budget and deploys the budgeted sales strategy and associated pricing.
  • Handles disposition and follows up on rejected product.
  • Evaluates and determines appropriate changes to the dynamic weekly cream schedule for respective plants and contract customer to optimize schedule for cream sales.
  • Calculates complex pricing to measure and articulate cream offers.
  • Assesses customer needs against plant cream availability, matching plant and customer needs to create best returns
  • Optimizes sales through market knowledge and relationships
  • Create and distribute weekly cream sales results
  • Determines and sells cream loads above contracts as needed, for either volume or economic needs.

Liquid Transportation

  • Cultivates and manages transportation carrier relationships with existing carriers and potential new carriers.
  • Collects and maintain required documentation necessary based on specific business need and requirements.
  • Handles any invoicing discrepancies.
  • Negotiates transportation rates with key transportation providers and provides the OTC Cream Sales Analyst with approved and final transportation rates.
  • Ownership of transportation process and drives cost savings, service and process improvements.

Liquid Dairy STO Scheduling

  • Coordinates shipments of Leprino liquid products and supplies on a cost-effective, quality-oriented basis.
  • Works cross functionally with product management and plant teams to determine best organization of liquid products.
  • Develops and manages the liquid freight process at each plant. This includes two-way expectations around communication.

Leadership

  • Drives cream sales strategy through applied market knowledge, identifying and evaluating trends.
  • Communicates with and maintains strong relationships with customer base.
  • Leads by example within own team and across other functions. Delivers core values to all key stakeholders throughout the cream supply chain.
  • Leads ongoing initiatives that standardize the execution and operational management of cream across the business including systems development optimization, engaging in continuous improvement opportunities with internal stakeholders, and enhancing financial and sales reporting
  • Engages team members within operations to resolve cream related issues.

You Have (Mandatory Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, finance, supply chain management, operations or related field, or equivalent
  • 3 years of combined industry sales, operations, and procurement experience within food industry, dairy, or for a food distribution business. 

 

We Hope You Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Commercial dairy experience, especially liquid dairy, preferred.
  • SAP Experience Preferred

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $ 62,300.00 and $ 73,200.00.
