Leprino Foods Company, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Cheese Slurry (P2) Operator to join our team located in Roswell, NM. Leprino Foods is the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. Our customers and business partners span the globe and include many of the world's largest food companies, restaurant chains and distributors.   The Slurry (P2) Operator operates the P2 equipment in a safe and effective manner; maintaining a clean environment and adhering to all the GMP’s, SOP’s, and Critical Control Points pertaining to Food Safety and USDA regulations.   The Slurry (P2) Operator must be able to perform basic mathematical functions.  The Slurry (P2) Operator must be able to communicate well between all departments and different areas within those departments such as Whey, Warehouse, Cheese Noltec area, and Cheese Mixers area. Must be able to make computer adjustments to adjust temperature, pumps, etc to meet product specifications and parameters. Have the ability to know how to enable the cleaning CIP process and mix the right amount of chemicals to effectively clean equipment.

Leprino Foods is the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. Our customers and business partners span the globe and include many of the world's largest food companies, restaurant chains and distributors.   The Milk Receiver must be able to perform basic mathematical functions. The incumbent must be able to read and comprehend procedures, which direct the position’s assignments. The Milk Receiver must be able to communicate well between departments such as Production, Quality Control, and milk external haulers. In addition, the individual must be able to communicate well with other operators the silo status.   The Milk Receiver also must be able to make mechanical hookups for transfer of milk to silos and for sanitation. The position requires standing, walking, climbing, and lifting milk hoses for each load of milk being received. The position requires a constant paperwork handling to verify ticket numbers, load numbers, and input of this information into the computer.

Will you join us on our journey?   The Operations Supervisor with coaching and guidance from plant leadership, the Operations Supervisor will gain in-depth knowledge of all production processes from start-up to shut-down, and is expected to be able to make solid decisions pertaining to product quality, safety, and efficiencies for their applicable department rotation.  As part of their development process, Operations Supervisors are also responsible for monitoring aspects of team performance throughout their rotation, including product testing, equipment operations, product inventories, and employee scheduling to meet production needs.
