Will you join us on our journey?   We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to help us continue our successful trend in the global cheese and nutrition markets through quality of product and food safety at our Tracy, California production facility.   Responsibilities The Senior Project Engineer leads and drives the conception and completion of assigned capital projects, including development, design, purchase, construction, and start-up as required to satisfy budgetary limits, production needs, and governmental requirements.      We Ask of You: - Leads and manages assigned projects/priorities by driving the timely completion of projects within budget, ensuring that appropriate paybacks are forecasted and achieves expected outcomes.  - Schedules all project work, including design, equipment selection, construction, and equipment installation, in coordination with available downtime to minimize impact on production and driving compliance with governmental regulatory specifications (O.S.H.A., F.D.A., building codes, etc.). - Prepares and implements Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) by coordinating with production management, as well as, other outside sources to obtain input and review. - Prepares specifications, drawings, and layouts. - Obtains quotes, develops costs analysis, develops budgets, and creates project schedules.  - Directly supervises contractors and coordinates with consulting services​. - Identifies, develops, and leads improvements to utility, process, or energy systems, to improve efficiency or reduce cost. - Oversees improvements, modifications and upgrades to processes and equipment, confirming that they are completed to facilitate production needs, and that engineering design lends itself to proper repair and maintenance.  - Leads the development of formal and informal technical training programs to plant production. - Provides technical and engineering expertise and guidance to production and maintenance to improve productivity and reduce cost.  - Inspects and approves all work done to assure quality, man hour efficiency, compliance and contractor productivity.    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies:  - ​Familiarity of engineering principles, including physics, chemistry, structural and machine design. - Familiar with industrial operations, preferably dairy or food manufacturing. - Ability to work effectively within a budget. - Effective oral and written communication skills. - Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. - Superior negotiating and problem resolution skills. - Excellent organizational skills. - Creative thinker with a process improvement mindset. - Demonstrated understanding of project management. - Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams. - Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.     We Offer in Return: - Competitive salaries with equally competitive performance bonuses and relocation packages! - 401(k) along with a lucrative annual Profit-Sharing plan – we hire to retire! - Tuition reimbursement, award recognitions, merit increases, and outstanding health/dental/vision benefits. - An opportunity to reside in Tracy, CA, with a population of 85,000, a short drive to both Stockton and Modesto, and just sixty miles east of San Francisco. Will you join us on our journey?   We are seeking a Temporary LeNa Operator to help us continue our successful trend in the global cheese and nutrition markets through quality of product and food safety at our Tracy, California production facility.   NATURE AND SCOPE - Responsible for operation and monitoring of extruding & dicing operation in the Lena area and conveying of product. - Must have complete understanding of the mixing/extruding objective and how to control ribbon quality. - Must know start-up parameters and how to control the rpm’s of augers and screens for the LeNa area. - Must have complete understanding of safety procedures that must be followed when operating, cleaning, and performing general work on the LeNa system. - Will learn and understand MES and SAP functions related to the job which will include documented checks during the run. - Must have complete understanding of controls in the area and how they work. - Must know how to solve problems in his/her area to keep production running. Will you join us on our journey?   The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, disassembling, repairing, and maintaining equipment.  The Maintenance Mechanic is also responsible for the safe repair and troubleshooting of malfunctioning mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems, the calibration of instruments, and performing mechanical, preventive, and predictive maintenance. This position participates on the hazmat response team.    The Maintenance Mechanic is also responsible for the safe operation of the associated equipment and/or processes, the quality of incoming raw materials, the quality of the outgoing products in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safe work practices. This position is also responsible for participating in and implementing continuous improvement.  - Perform mechanical duties such as pumps, valves, conveyor work, sprockets, gearboxes, etc. - Complete preventive maintenance work orders. - Work with industrial electricity (motor controls) to troubleshoot and repair electrical components and machinery including all three phase 480, 240 and other plant systems. - Calibrate all plant instrumentation in a wide variety of makes and types specifications (i.e., temperature, flow, pH, vacuum, pressure, Foxboro, Honeywell, Micromotion, Fischer, Anderson, etc.). - Perform cleaning duties as required. - Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct. - Follow company’s good manufacturing and safety policies and procedures. Maintain housekeeping in area (i.e., toolboxes). - Communicate effectively with co-workers, team leads, and supervisors - All other duties as assigned.   Minimum Qualifications: - Must be a minimum of 18 years old. - Must be able to speak, read, and write effectively. - Must be able to work Sunday - Saturday, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24 hour/7 day operation. - Must be able to work 8.5 hours up to 12.5 hour scheduled shifts. - Prior experience in a similar maintenance mechanic role with electrical background. - Prior experience of utility systems, electrical controls, and schematic reading. Leprino Foods – Tracy currently processes three million pounds of milk a day. We produce more than 400,000 lbs. of cheese per day. We are a union plant and currently have over 300 employees.
